And we’re back after a pleasant Holiday interlude. And just in time, too, judging from the look of things.
With the world all teetery and tipping on its axis – our plot of Paradise here in “The Numbers” has not been without its share of weirdness and travail.
SWAT operators suited up to take a barricaded man into custody in Danville, burglars continued to shatter windows and more than a few memories by creeping into people’s homes and taking things – often while homeowners were away for the Holidays – and carloads of sketchy actors continued to trigger Flock cameras around the 24/680.
Some really insane crashes sent people to the hospital or worse, leaving first responders and witnesses scratching their heads and pondering “how’d they do that again?”
Those of us lucky enough to make it past the flares and traffic cones sat ourselves before the groaning board for what was for us and others some spectacular food and drink – pleased that after-dinner conversation steered clear of political minefields and observations though others, we understand, were not so lucky with Family Meltdowns ensuing. Such a shame.
But now we’re back, fingers firmly on the pulse beat of the local scene and looking ahead to see if we can predict what’s in store for us all. We’ll just have to wait and see how that goes, but it’s nice to be back slinging words and photos.
Thanks to everyone who kept in touch while we were gone.
The Holidays just aren’t the holidays unless there’s a SWAT incident.
Danville…………….. a hotbed of deranged people, oh wait, I live there.
