Two people with gunshot wounds to the lower extremities were transported to a local hospital for treatment after California Highway Patrol officers located their car on eastbound Hwy 24 at Wilder Road Sunday.

The incident was reported at 10:32 pm with CHP officers locating a Chevy Camaro off the freeway – its occupants reporting they’d been fired on by occupants of another car that had sped off.

One man suffered wounds to his arm and leg while the second victim’s injuries were not specified. The wounds were described as minor by the CHP.

Officers quickly shut down the freeway in the eastbound direction to aid in their search for evidence. It was not known what, if anything, was recovered.

  1. OK, I’m going to write it out in full so my fellow citizens understand it:

It’s The Wild West Out There!!!!!

Liberal politicians, liberal judges and liberal DA’s have emboldened a small group of people to commit crimes. Now tight budgets are forcing cuts to police staffing.

    • Sad but so true. I used to go out on Friday and Saturday nights, but now that I’m older I listen to the police scanner for Alameda county. It’s absolutely bonkers 24/7.

      • It is so true, Jeff & Willis!
But there are still a lot of liberally inclined people oit there that are in denial that their social experiments have not worked….. and they want to push it even further despite the failure. They just don’t see it. Thank goodness most other people are waking up!

  2. I was there! Yes, it’d be nice if CHP would at least comment! Yes, it’s an investigation, and yes, many folks were stuck in an hour closure. Just a brief would be appropriate! Who wants to assume or think of a shooting and bullets flying in a cement tunnel, or just prior? Let’s hear it, folks? Wake up CHP!
