Only, not the good kind as three visitors allegedly tried to make off with some goods from the Walnut Creek Target store this evening… fleeing to the nearby BART station where officers stopped them.

The men were believed to be from Honduras.

If you are a Honduran mobster running a shoplifting gang, where do you send your boys to steal? Not to the place they might get arrested….Good for Walnut Creek PD, keep it up!

I don’t know how you can expect to run away from the cops when the waist of your pants are around your thighs.

Okay everyone, I’m sure I’m going to offend some by asking the question: should this trio be in the country? The news reported that Venezuela , Ecudor and Hundururas was emptying thier prisons and pushing the convicts into the U.S.. and with our total open borders and no consequences they are coming? I think it’s going to bring a lot of trouble in the future. I don’t care how poor you’ve been you don’t have a right to come to another country and start abusing it.

    • David on Jun 12, 2024 at 9:20 pm

“should this trio be in the country?” Umm. No.
Should we secure our own borders? Umm. Yes.
The rest of your post is just unhelpful fearmongering. “total open borders” “emptying thier prisons”…
Congress needs to address the laws governing immigration. Congress is in a state of political paralysis pending a new election, but this too shall pass.

Yep! “The Department of Homeland Security did not confirm the existence of an “intelligence report” about Venezuela sending criminals to the southern U.S. border. The claim originated with a Breitbart News article that cited an unnamed Customs and Border Protection source.”

Any more updates on those house burglaries near Blackhawk?

  13. Tim on Jun 15, 2024 at 4:12 pm

I wish these arrests would make a difference, but it doesn’t. If deported, they’ll just return to commit the same crimes.

    • Lesley on Jun 18, 2024 at 1:05 am

The guys who were arrested might have been trafficked, in which case the police will really want to go after whoever’s in charge. Remember they did that in those mass shoplifting crimes a year or two ago in downtown Walnut Creek, and I believe they got somebody.

  14. Rob P. on Jun 24, 2024 at 12:16 pm

How about some follow up on these arrests?
