A crew of four suspected burglars traveling in a Nissan Rogue and apparently communicating via two-way radio scouted and possibly entered homes on Rancho View Drive in Lafayette on Tuesday.
Neighbors apparently spotted the crew, dressed in black and wearing ski masks, prowling the gated, walled area in the 1500 block of Rancho View before suddenly running for the waiting Nissan and fleeing the area with a duffel bag containing items unknown.
The incident, reported at approximately 12:30pm, is currently under investigation and is still very fresh. Our condolences to our neighbors up there if you lost anything.

I bet you that these guys have done this before, have been caught, and have been released back out to continue victimizing us good citizens. This is not fair. Lock them up!
