One person perished in a 2-alarm fire that burned through a single-story home in the 7000 block of Mayan Court in Dublin on Monday.
The blaze was reported at 3:42 p.m. and quickly advanced to a 2-alarm as firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flame throughout the residence.
Four adults and four children were displaced. A dog was transported to a pet hospital for treatment.
Firefighters said the unidentified victim died despite receiving life-saving measures at the scene.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined at this time.
