One person was killed in an apparent auto versus pedestrian collision in Pacheco Wednesday night.
The tragedy was reported at 8:55 p.m.
CHP Contra Costa was advised of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on Marsh Drive near Aria Drive and arrived to find a woman down in the street there.
Investigators said the woman was standing outside of her parked Dodge Caliber when a vehicle traveling northbound on Marsh Drive struck her and her car. The driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop and fled the scene, continuing north on Marsh Drive.
The unidentified pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
