Lafayette Home Damaged By Fire Thursday

An apparent car fire at a residence in the 3600 block of Nordstrom Lane in the Happy Valley neighborhood spread to the home early Thursday morning, damaging the structure.

The blaze, reported at 12:42 a.m., drew a sizable response from Lamorinda fire departments. Police officers searched the residence to warn occupants of the blaze as firefighters arrived but no one was believed inside. No injuries were reported.
