Neither Snow, Nor Sleet, Nor Winding Country Road…
Messy crash of a contract postal service delivery vehicle on Morgan Territory Road near Leon Drive Friday with the valiant mailperson extricating herself from the wreckage and walking about a mile in order to summon help.
The unidentified delivery driver, apparently a favorite with her customers in the Clayton area, is believed to have hit a patch of gravel, overcorrected, and overturned her vehicle after rolling up an embankment at about 1:40 p.m.
She was taken to the hospital by a caring neighbor and is believed to be back at work – though not driving.
