SHARE

As reported here last night, at 9 p.m. Sunday Martinez police officers responded to the area near Martinez Marina Bait & Tackle on Tarantino Drive in response to reports of a possible shooting.

Arriving officers located a 21-year-old male who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower extremity at that location. He was treated by paramedics and subsequently transported to a local hospital, police said.

While investigating the shooting, Martinez Police Department’s dispatch center received a call from a local hospital regarding three other male subjects; ages 25, 24 and 17. They all arrived at the hospital with stab wounds, later determined to have occurred during the same shooting incident.

All three subjects suffered minor to moderate wounds and are expected to survive, according to police. There are no outstanding suspects at this time.  Based on the investigation it appears that this was not a random event and all parties involved have been identified, police said.

Police did not say what sparked the altercation.
