Fire in a rear room of a home at 32 Mi Elana Court touched off a 2-Alarm response from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters early Saturday.
Firefighters responding to reports of smoke in the single-story home observed smoke pouring from the residence’s windows and vents and initiated a search for occupants – which turned out to be vacant.
There were no initial reports of injuries, an estimate of damage. The cause of the fire was not given, though it appeared to have been centered in the attic.
