Police are investigating the discovery of a body found in the open space near the popular walking/biking trail on Olympic Boulevard Thursday morning.
Police confirmed they received a report of a deceased person in the area of Olympic and Pleasant Hill Road, north of the East Bay Regional Parks District trail and approximately 50 yards west of the staging area.
Police said arriving officers confirmed the discovery and believe the person, a girl in her teens, died in an apparent suicide.

Yes. We were in the area at the time of the discovery and wondered what was happening when we received you alert. It explained a lot of things. Your silence afterward also explains a lot. Our hopes and prayers are with the family of this young person. I cannot think of any worse pain.
