Vehicular Manslaughter Charge Filed In Death Of Danville Bicyclist
The Contra Costa County District Attorneyā€™s Office has filed a charge against a Manteca woman in connection with a May 5, 2015 car-bicycle accident that claimed the life of a Danville man.
At 4:37 p.m. on May 5, 2015, a car being driven by Alyssa Densmore, 26, was traveling north on Crow Canyon Road when it collided with bicyclist George Kaufer, 55. Kaufer was critically injured in the accident and later died of his injuries.
Danville Police Departmentā€™s Traffic Unit investigated the accident and forwarded all information on to the District Attorneyā€™s office for consideration. After reviewing the investigation, the DAā€™s office charged Densmore with one count of misdemeanor Vehicular Manslaughter.
