Community Groups Come Together to Fight Stigma and Negative Stereotypes of Mental Health and Addiction Struggles During National Suicide Prevention Month
WHO & WHAT:
Remix Recovery is partnering with John Muir Health, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Contra Costa, and Mental Health Connections to host a mental health and addiction recovery resource fair during National Suicide Prevention Month. The event will feature more than 30 mental health and addiction treatment and recovery service providers from Contra Costa County and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Keynote speakers will share their personal stories and present on topics such as suicide prevention, harm reduction, fighting stigma, and building resilience. There will be a variety of entertainment and activities, including live music, drum circles, face painting, and more.
