More reports of burglaries and attempted burglaries continue to filter in to this site as people report more glass-shattering, safe-wrangling burglaries by thieves apparently unafraid of security cameras and alarms.

Latest victims of the “hard burglary” trend raising eyebrows and anger levels from Lamorinda to Walnut Creek and beyond appear to be Zoonies candies in Lafayette, victimized early Saturday morning by a crew who cracked their front door and uprooted their safe.

The business remained open Sunday night despite their boarded-up storefront with locals stopping by for a late-night snack and to offer words of encouragement after learning of Lafayette’s latest theft.

Thieves apparently equipped with glass-breaking devices recently raided Lafayette’s Panache coffee shop and the Great Wall restaurant, also striking several businesses in Walnut Creek.
