Smoky Car Fire Draws Firefighters In Walnut Creek Friday

Smoky little fire tripping alarms at a complex in the 7000 block of Sunne Lane, Walnut Creek on Friday. Firefighters went floor by floor looking for the origin, asking some residents to shelter in place while they searched. Lots of apparatus in the area so you may want to steer clear.

Much of the smoke appeared to have filtered into the underground parking garage near Parada Peruvian restaurant and firefighters centered their attention on an “antique” car which had apparently caught fire – smoke from that blaze apparently drifting upward to the upper floors.
