ICE Arrests Spark Anger, Protest In Concord Tuesday
Angry words, protest and some pushing and shoving followed the arrests of four people by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents after their hearing in a Concord immigration court Tuesday.
News of the arrests spread quickly amongst a crowd of protestors massed outside the court – several of whom responded by physically trying to intercede. Additional ICE agents moved in to secure the arrestees and move protestors out of the way.
ICE agents have reportedly been showing up at the Concord court once or twice a week over the last month and have been making arrests, the protestors maintained.
Similar arrests were also made outside San Francisco immigration courts the last few weeks.

Protesting is an American right and should be allowed. Rioting, looting and vandalizing is breaking the law and should be prosecuted. Let’s hope Concord and any other Bay Area city protects its residents and businesses owners safe by making that distinction.
I was once threatened with arrest in Austria when I overstayed my Visa. I had to leave by the next day, or be arrested. I had a similar experience in France.
Every country in the world, including Mexico, has strict immigration rules that you have to follow. Most all mmigrants to America for the last 200+ years had to follow the rules to get in. But somehow now we think such rules are cruel. I guess every other country in the world is cruel then too.

What part of ILLEGAL don’t they understand? if you want to clean up Concord, ICE needs to hit the Monument area. Those are rioting, looting and vandalizing couldn’t care less about the situation. They’re just troublemakers.
Didn’t see anything about rioting, looting or vandalism in the Concord protests. Dissent is still legal in this nation.

Young lady, pink beanie, hitting federal officers? Wanted for assault, not rioting/looting/vandalism, though the video makes one wonder why law enforcement wasn’t able to subdue and retain the suspect – she was certainly in close range. She appeared to be armed only with, um, her arms. Maybe it’s the alleged – and definitely embarrassing a
– theft of badge and backpack that’s actually driving this (wo)manhunt.
