Highway 24 from Lafayette to Orinda was a hot mess most of the afternoon and on into the evening Monday with several multi-vehicle crashes and a police search lasting until almost midnight.
Neighbors reported hearing “a very loud crash and then a flash of light” at about 10pm on the freeway near where it crosses El Nido Ranch Road.
There were some injured people and the freeway was at a standstill for several hours. All in all a very bad, very messy day on one of our namesake freeways. Hopefully, things will be better tomorrow.
I take it one of the crash cars was a 10851.
Firestone 11R
Good guess. Multiple agencies out there last night and everyone was busy…
