Person Shot, Killed In Concord Tuesday
Police in Concord are investigating a homicide reported at around 9:01pm Tuesday at Pear Drive and Oak Grove Road. Officers arrived to find a 53-year-old man down with multiple gunshot wounds. Numerous shell casings were found at the scene.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name has not been released by police.
Police issued a brief statement Wednesday afternoon but did not disclose what led up to the shooting. Photos obtained by this site showed a bicycle near the body but it was not known if he was riding at the time he was shot.
There are no immediate public safety concerns as a result of the homicide, police reported Wednesday.
