Danville residents noticed an uptick in police presence downtown after a shoplifting incident at the BevMo store on Diablo Road. Police interest was enhanced when the suspect vehicle made contact with a police vehicle. A woman is in custody and a search is underway for a male believed to be in the area.

A CHP helicopter has moved off but, as you can see, police have brought in the sniffers to help find their man…

UPDATE 5:14pm ARREST – a man believed to be Deonte Bell, suspect in earlier BevMo theft and other shoplifting incidents, was arrested at gunpoint and taken into custody at La Questa and El Rincon.

Danville Police are the best! Also, the Danville Town Council works hard to support a safe community for all. ( none of this wishy-washy attitude )

I was exiting I680 at Sycamore and was the car that this idiot encountered headon as he attempted to avoid the police.
