Person Leaps From Pleasant Hill BART Garage Tuesday

AnthonyWay

BART police say a person found deceased near the Pleasant Hill BART parking structure on Anthony Way apparently leapt from the structure and was not the victim of a crime.

Police called the occurrence an “unattended death involving someone in crisis” who jumped from the structure and no foul play is suspected.

Initial reports from a police officer at the scene reported discovery of a woman, possibly in her 30s, down and unresponsive with a possible gunshot wound. That determination was later proven to be incorrect though police did not say how it was determined that the person, later determined to be a 28-year-old male, jumped from the structure.
