A postal carrier was attacked and robbed at Hillside Avenue and Parkside Drive in Walnut Creek on Friday, two men taking the worker’s postal keys and a cell phone.
The theft was reported at 3:57 p.m. with police looking for a white Honda sedan with two masked males aboard.
The worker was not believed to have been injured.
It’s The Wild West out there. The modern equivalent of a stagecoach robbery, Yee haw.

Hope the large reward results in an arrest, conviction and prison time for the crooks. Federal crime!
Honda was probably stolen.
Oh that’s right: Federal crime means our local DAs & Judges can’t just turn them loose with no consequences.
Well, that’s the jaundiced view of it, a singular political view of it, the evidence-free view of it. You can be relied upon to repeat that, repeat that.
Seems like a massive penalty for not a huge reward for those criminals.
Boz,
It depends on how many credit cards, washed checks, social security numbers, etc get stolen with those keys.

Do those keys only open certain boxes in that area? Or all complex boxes everywhere?
Good question, Me, (Great Name) – and we’ve asked that ourselves. Perhaps some of our postal people readers will help us out with that one.
Tee hee!
I hope they can help too, to answer the question!
How about a description of the thieves?
All masked up, possibly Hispanic, white sedan. Happened pretty quickly.
We have a long running joke in our family. Most crimes are committed with infiniti g37/q40 and Nissans Altimas. Look back at your photos. The percentages are shocking.
Trust us, we’ve noticed…
