A call to police requesting a check on the occupants of a Southard Court home led to a grim discovery Wednesday as responding Moraga police officers found the home’s occupants deceased in an upstairs area of the home.
The couple was identified by county coroner’s deputies as Brad Triebsch, 60, and his wife Rebekah, 59.
Husband and wife died as a result of gunshot wounds. Brad Triebsch, Managing Partner at CVF Capital Partners, had reportedly been in poor health in recent months.
Police presence at the scene triggered a wave of interest among neighbors, some of whom described themselves as “decades-old” friends of the couple who were just coming to grip with the news.
The date and sequencing of the alleged homicide and suicide was not detailed by police. The type of weapon used was also not provided.
The discovery was made at about 5:20 p.m. after an earlier call from family members expressing concern about the couple.
Any additional word from police, and word of any future services, will be posted here if and when we get it.
