Our anticipated Thanksgiving truce doesn’t last long as thieves use a stolen vehicle to batter down the front doors of the Kohl’s store on Monument Boulevard in Pleasant Hill, making off with jewelry and other items.

Initial reports are that Hispanic male suspects in hoodies and masks entered the store after battering down the front store and made off with an unknown inventory of items.

The business was closed at the time and no employees or customers were present, the three subjects fleeing in a white sedan prior to police arrival.

Observers reported that the van was still idling when police pulled it from the storefront. No injuries were reported.

  1. I feel sorry for these people whose vehicles are stolen these days- who end up having a totaled car after the thieves use it in a crime. Oakland has reported over 11,000 car thefts this year alone. A co-worker had both their family cars stolen the course of one week, and they’re still not recovered 2 months later. It’s been a big hardship for their family. This is becoming way too common! Too bad the criminals aren’t facing more hardship!
