As we notified many of you via The Flash shortly after noon Tuesday, a lone robber entered the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 3402 Camino Tassajara, presented a note demanding money from a teller and left the bank on foot.

The robbery was reported at 12:29 p.m., with Danville police and officers from neighboring jurisdictions responding to aid in a search for a lightly complected black male, early 20s, approximately 5’7″ inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.

Staff described the suspect as wearing a black beanie, a black surgical mask, black clothing, and a black sling or fanny pack. The robber passed his note demanding money and no weapons were seen.

A widespread search for the suspect was launched with ground units supported by the East Bay Regional Parks District helicopter, but the thief was not located.
