Motorcyclist Killed In Pre-Dawn Crash Near Martinez Sunday

A motorcyclist died when his bike encountered an unknown object and crashed on the Pine Street offramp from westbound Highway 4 in Martinez early Sunday morning.

Officials were notified of debris in the area shortly after 2 a.m., firefighters locating motorcycle wreckage in the center divide and the rider a short distance away.

The unidentified motorcyclist was apparently thrown from the motorcycle and the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
