Attempted Grab N’ Run At Walnut Creek Nordstrom Doesn’t End Well – For Alleged Grabbers

Reader Submission

Obviously we’ve been watching local merchants try to fend off persistent waves of thieves lately, and another chapter in that story was written today during the alleged theft of goods from the Walnut Creek Nordstrom location.

Two would-be thieves visited Nordstrom around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, making off with an unknown amount of merchandise from the store as store security personnel mobilized to halt them. The pair made it out of the store and to a small car which left the area – loss prevention officers tailing and keeping it in sight as police responded.

A “guns up and out” felony stop was made off Ygnacio Valley Road near Walnut Boulevard, with Walnut Creek police taking the pair into custody without further incident.

Nothing bad to say about the WCPD this time? Thought you’d said they had orders not to stop this kind of theft.

The officers of WCPD are under trained for the changing nature of WC, but they have the basics down. Nice arrest by WCPD. I’m sure the city council and Diana Becton are not happy about the arrests.
