A woman apparently attempting to cross the street at N. California Boulevard and Civic Drive in Walnut Creek was struck and seriously injured by a car which appeared to have left the scene. Chung Thu Le, a local business owner, later died of her injuries.
Shocked bystanders notified police of the collision shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday.
A car, described as a brown or possibly gold Toyota Camry with front-end damage and a broken headlight, was believed responsible, according to witnesses at the scene.
No no no….. not another one.

Those little yellow markers. O god. Hoping for a good outcome.
Hope they find the driver.
People saw it. Hope they catch the driver.

She passed away last night. She owned Lavender Dreams Nail Salon
She passed away, unfortunately
I was afraid of that.
Keeping her in our prayers.
Any traffic cameras????
O no. That’s just the saddest news. Prayers to her family and friends.
Man I was walking also in that area around that time
I hope they catch the low life scum
She did nails for a living, my wife and friends would often have nail parties and hired Chung. Such a nice woman, had several children 🙁
She(Tammy) was a vibrant, charismatic lady. Also very generous and down to earth . She owned the previous Polish salon as well, also a well loved salon in Walnut Creek. Lavender Dreams is my favorite salon , her employees are like a reflection of her. Walnut Creek will sure miss you Tammy.
