The Benicia Port Fire, which grew to four alarms and drew firefighters from throughout the Bay Area before it was contained, was declared extinguished at 12:20 p.m. today, Sunday.
Officials are working to determine the cause of the blaze, which started near a petcoke silo and burned up a conveyor to the wharf, which caught fire and burned through the night.
Assets from across Solano County, Contra Costa and Napa counties responded to the scene. Fire boats arrived from San Francisco, Oakland, Port Chicago, Southern Marin, Tiburon and Redwood City.
