Gunfire Reported At Dave & Busters In Concord Sunday

At least three people were shot and wounded after perhaps as many as 10 shots were reportedly fired in the arcade section at Dave & Busters restaurant during a private event in Concord Sunday night.

Concord police, in a brief social media post made Monday morning, said ultimately four people were treated for gunshot wounds.

The gunfire was reported at approximately 10:50 p.m.

Initial reports of at least one person hit appeared to be unfounded, with possible injuries suffered in the scramble to get away from the reported gunman. As patrons filed out of the restaurant, a person reported they’d been hit in the leg, although that report could not be substantiated. Two other people reportedly walked into Sutter Delta Hospital in Antioch later in the evening to report gunshot wounds of undetermined severity.

A sizable police presence is currently in the area of the restaurant and the adjacent City Sports, where one person was reported to have sheltered after the initial panic. There are reports that the restaurant had been closed for a private function, possibly a wedding, when gunfire erupted.

Witnesses report a black male suspect, 5′ 7″-tall, thin build, in a grey hoodie, armed with a black pistol, allegedly did the shooting. A dark SUV, described as possibly a Land Rover or Range Rover was spotted leaving the area after the gunfire erupted.
