One Wounded In Concord Shooting Early Tuesday

A man shot while sitting in his car in the 1700 block of Clayton Road in Concord early Tuesday is recovering at a local hospital today.

The unidentified victim was shot by a suspect described only as a bearded white male on a bicycle, the suspect approaching and opening fire with a black handgun shortly after midnight.

It is believed the victim was hit once in the shoulder though that information could not be immediately confirmed.

Concord police have sealed off the area and are canvassing for witnesses and video in hope of developing more information on the suspect. We’ll update this story with additional information as we get it.
