A Martinez man was transported to a local hospital after he was shot during an altercation inside a home in the 1900 block of Arnold Drive Sunday.
The incident was reported at approximately 5:20 p.m. and is initially believed to have been the result of some kind of domestic incident. Martinez police briefly sealed off the road as they surrounded a residence where the suspect, believed to have access to multiple weapons, was eventually taken into custody.
Only cowards use guns
Citizens frequently use guns to defend themselves.
