I’m glad no one was hurt. Was the rear door unlocked? Come on people, lock your doors. No one is “working” on Sunday with a green vest.

Why do you think it’s the victim’s fault he got robbed at gunpoint? If it’s now a requirement to lock up one’s HOME in the early afternoon on a SUNDAY in the crime ridden slum called Orinda, then the battle against barbarism has already been lost, and blaming the victims shows an extreme lack of compassion. BTW, breaking into a typical locked exterior door that is not the front door is very easy.

It’s not a “requirement” to lock your door but it’s a good idea to keep someone from walking in with a GUN and robbing you. Lamorindans notoriously leave their doors unlocked, and it’s stupid. And bad guys have been targeting Lamorinda long enough. Time to wise up. Not “getting it” shows an extreme lack of COMMON SENSE. Blaming the victim isn’t pulled out of thin air. There’s a reason for it, and I just explained it to you.

I refer you to Exhibit B in the Lamorinda Merchants story, the undamaged lock adjacent the shattered door jamb. That lock must have slowed the burglar an extra 20 to 30 seconds…

It was just a theory before, but after the victim blaming I can confidently say that Maurice is DEFINITELY Danielle. You’re not fooling anybody lady 😉

A lot of the crooks lately are driving Mercedes-Benzes. I guess crime does pay with the new ‘nobody goes to jail anymore’ policies in the state.

The vehicle could very well have been stolen.

… and more than likely was! They’re pretty much stealing them as they need them…

We’re just as vulnerable as everyone else. They seem to come every six months or so. Glad the homeowner wasn’t hurt.
