Man, Dog Rescued From Burning Home In Pleasant Hill Monday

An elderly man and a dog were located and rescued from a home burning on Cornell Court in Pleasant Hill Monday.

The fire was reported shortly after 2 p.m. with reports of smoke and flame at the residence, 19 Cornell Court. Firefighters arriving at the scene were met by those conditions upon arrival and swung into an offensive firefighting mode while a search of the residence was conducted.

Both man and dog were treated for unspecified injuries. Firefighters remain on scene (2:50 p.m.)
