The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal car vs. pedestrian collision on eastbound Highway 24 east of Fish Ranch Road early Saturday morning.
Officers and firefighters were called to the scene at around 3 a.m. and a victim was found in the area. Life-saving measures were undertaken without success, and the unidentified victim was declared deceased a short time later.
Preliminary indications were that the victim was walking in the middle lanes of the freeway when they were struck and killed.
It seems Highway 24 as of late has been the venue of multiple fatalities and incidents…..hmmmm
I would suggest it falls victim to the problems of other freeway with the same problem – speed and sightlines.
A likely suicide
Or a mechanical breakdown and hit while trying to get off the road? Car found nearby?
You are exactly right! He is my brother
He broke down on the side of the freeway
How terrible. May you find peace and strength.
Very sorry for your loss.
Thoughts for their family and friends. Be in Peace.
Prayers
Condolences to friends and family.

Another fatality? Yes, second one on the Castro Valley side of the county line on Crow Canyon outside San Ramon.
