As we noted last night (Monday, May 18), at least one burglary crew was at work in Lamorinda – breaking into a work truck as seen on the accompanying video – and possibly other venues around the area.
A “white” car reportedly stopped on Arroyo Drive in Orinda and a passenger got out to break into a work truck at around 8:30 p.m. Monday, the homeowner notifying local police and giving a description of the car.
Police in neighboring Moraga reportedly spotted the car, actually a silver Chevy Cavalier, in their town a short time later and stopped the vehicle at Alta Mesa and Via Joaquin, holding the occupants at gunpoint until supporting officers could arrive.
Three people were detained. Their identities, ages, hometowns were not released by police.
Nice catch!
It was!
Going after the work trucks..
Those tools are expensive!
People down in the center all pointing and saying O look at all those cops!!!
We’ll bet!
Whatg did he use to crack that window??
Hard to tell from the vid, Andy, but it looks like it popped after he shimmed it.
Tools? Suitcase?
We believe the former, Matthew…
Wow….. not good.
They work pretty fast. If only they worked that fast at a real job.
He used a common tool to punch out the window with minimal noise
They’re everywhere. Shame.
Nice work by Moraga and the deputies of Orinda. They are lucky I didn’t catch them………………..LASD 108RS
Whoa… yes, they’re pretty fast and sneaky these folks…
Now just hope they will be kept as the scumbags they are and not released for their health.
