Just heard from Terry Black, Chairman of Senior Services for Lafayette, and Terry asks we let folks know that, starting Thursday, seniors will have the Safeway store available to them from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday’s and Thursdays.
That’s a good move and, as Terry writes: “Yipee!”
Apparently, the chain will be honoring those hours at other local stores, as well.
All Safeway’s?
Apparently, Sandie!
Does this include high risk people and not just seniors? I have asthma and other health conditions that make me high risk and so have avoided the crowded grocery stores until now. The cupboards are getting bare
I do not know the answer to your question, Therese. You can certainly call Lafayette Safeway at 925-283-0229 and press 8 for customer service. I would venture to guess that any really compromised person would meet the criteria.
Age restrictions? 65+?
WFM is 60+
Seniors are usually 50+
Just Lafayette?
That is the only Safeway with whom I have spoken.
Anyone know about the Rossmoor store?
No.
Whole Foods Markets will have daily senior shopping hours from 8-9am
Excellent!
Looks like you stirred up safeway
Wish ’em luck…
Whole Foods Markets offering daily senior shopping hours 8-9am
Starting to sort itself out. Now if we can just get those test kits working.
What a monster headache — food protection, store sanitation, security. Wow.
Quite right.
Good
Lunardis??? They seem to be closing early.
Are they doing carbon dating for some of us older farts, or is a CDL satisfactory? And to Terry Ann, “NO, 50+ is not senior”. We have to maintain our standards.
Good start
