Area police are on the lookout for three men apparently robbing local Walgreens locations of prescription drugs Monday evening.
Robberies were reported at stores in Lafayette and Danville, with a hooded suspect pushing a pharmacy worker out of the way in Lafayette. There were no apparent injuries after the two thefts.
Three black males in their 20s were seen driving off in a late-model Mercedes after the first robbery was reported in Lafayette at around 7 p.m. One of the men allegedly entered the pharmacy area of the store, pushed an employee attempting to intervene and took a quantity of drugs of unknown description.
Moments later, the theft was duplicated in Danville, with one hooded suspect entering the pharmacy. The Mercedes was not seen during the second theft.
Quick some one call the store in Pleasanton.
Let me guess – oxy, xanax or percocet.
I thought all Walgreens stored their narcotics in a time-delayed safe?
