Things That Go Flash And Bang In The Night; Martinez PD Wakes Some People Up Friday – Arrests Made

It appears Martinez police, working with as-yet unnamed federal agencies, served a search warrant early this morning in the 2300 block of Wayne Street in their city.

At this stage we don’t know the nature of their investigation but it appears diversionary “flashbang” devices were utilized.

“So, if you were awakened by loud bangs,” MPD put out in a short Twitter message this morning, “… that was us.”

We’re not yet sure what they were looking for, but police brought some gear with them Friday.

Police would say only that the search warrant was the culmination of a recent investigation and that several people, apparently, were arrested and taken to jail.
