If A Tree (And Power Pole) Fall In Downtown Martinez, Would You Hear It? You Bet You Would…

The Tip Line lit up this afternoon as a tree fell in downtown Martinez – bringing some power lines and a power pole down with it and damaging some unfortunate cars parked in the area.

There were no injuries, we’re happy to report, but Martinez PD shut down the 600-700 block of Ward, Green, Masonic and Mellus Streets and called in PG&E to help untangle things.

Streets are slowly reopening but it was just another thing to have to think about on a Friday today.
