Pleasant Hill police are searching for three men, one of whom reportedly brandished a pistol with a distinctive sighting apparatus, who entered the Pleasant Hill Coin & Jewelry Exchange Friday afternoon, smashed display cases and made off with coins and jewelry.
The robbery occurred just before 5:30 p.m. Details remain sparse, though the robbery bore similarities to at least one other at a local high-end watch store. In that instance two men entered the store while a third waited outside, distracted the owner and then maced him – using a hammer to shatter a display case and take watches.
In Friday’s instance, employees said three men were involved, one of them carrying a pistol with a laser-sight, while two others used hammers to smash their way into display cases to steam coins and jewelry.
The men escaped in a dark blue or purple car of unknown make or type. No one was believed hurt during Friday’s incident.
So you guys are thinking the Concornd thing tonight is the same gang?
@Tim – Waaaay too early to tell, Tim. But the description of the car was a match.
