“Touch ‘N Go” Returns To The Wild

SHARE

Some of you may remember our tale of a young bobcat scooped up from where he’d come to rest after getting hit by a car off Highway 4 back in August.

His prognosis was not good, initially, and we defied conventional wisdom in these  incidents and went ahead and named him “Touch n’ Go” anyway, because it summed up his condition as well as our hopes for his recovery and eventual release.

Those hopes were realized after the dedicated crew down at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital in Walnut Creek cared for the elusive critter, helped him heal up, and released him back into the wild Wednesday.

Touch n’ Go, and this is the last time we will refer to him with that name, was set free near where he was originally found in Crockett.

Lindsay credited caring patrons, its staff, the equally dedicated staff at the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley in San Jose, and the spirit of this creature itself in aiding in his release.

Hopefully he’s learned his lesson about people and cars.
