UPDATED Aug. 8, 11:45 a.m. with arrest, bail determination

Sheriff’s investigators have arrested the husband of a 69-year-old woman found dead in her home on the 4300 block of Quail Run Lane in Blackhawk Sunday – and booked him on suspicion of her murder.

Detectives arrested 69-year-old John Tercheria for the murder of his wife Linda Marie Tercheria, also 69. Tercheria is currently free after posting bail Monday.

The Tercherias shared the residence at 4319 Quail Run. Deputies were called to the home just after 4 p.m. Sunday after a man, believed to have been John Tercheria, called to report that his wife was down and injured inside the residence.

Deputies found Linda Tercheria in the home’s kitchen area with what neighbors have said was a wound to her head.

Anyone with any information on this case is asked to contact the Office of the Sheriff at (925) 646-2441. For any tips, please email: tips@so.cccounty.us or to call 866-846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message.

    • Morning, Maria. We do have names for the people involved in this case, provided unofficially by neighbors, etc. Waiting for official channels to clear their release and for family members to be notified.

  1. It looks like they needed to be apart from each other and time ran out before it could happen. Terrible thing to happen and it can happen anywhere.
