The Exchange Club of San Ramon Valley is holding its annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the All-Wars Memorial in Oak Hill Park. Retired Menlo Park fire chief Harold Schapelhouman will serve as the keynote speaker.
Local Scouts and American Heritage Girls will present 50 U.S. flags in tribute, a wreath ceremony will honor Gold Star families, and an honor guard and the Monte Vista High School choir will also participate. The club will also highlight this year’s 9/11 Essay Competition.
