Three Adults, One Child Injured In Wrong-Way Crash On SR4 Monday

A head-on crash believed caused by a wrong-way driver injured three adults – two of them critically – and a 6-year-old child after a collision on eastbound SR4 between Cummings Skyway and Mc Ewen Road in Martinez Monday night.

The crash was reported at approximately 11:15pm after a car was reported seen heading west in the eastbound lanes of SR4, ultimately colliding with at least three other vehicles, one of them head-on.

An air ambulance was requested and landed at the crash site, evacuating a 6-year-old injured in the collision. Three adults were also injured, two of them critically, with first responders having to pry two people out of the wreckage.

    Isn’t that the 3rd accodent with someone driving on the freeway in the wrong direction, in just the past week? What the heck is going on!

    Not a word of this anywhere else. There were so many emergency vehicles out there last night I can’t believe no one said anything.
