Martinez Man ID’d As Bethel Island Murder Victim

The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office has identified a man shot and killed in Bethel Island Monday as Edward Garofalo IV, a 38-year-old resident of Martinez.

Garofalo was found down with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in the 3200 block of Dutch Slough Road, at 8:49 p.m. He was declared deceased at the scene despite administration of life-saving measures by first responders.
