Suspect In Antioch Shooting Of 11-Year-Old Girl Surrenders In San Francisco

On January 12, 2026, Ryan Hardy – wanted in connection with a shooting that wounded a young girl Jan. 5 – self-surrendered to the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the continued investigation, detectives determined that the victim and her family were not involved in any criminal activity at the time of the shooting. Investigators said the shooting appears to have occurred because of a misidentification of the intended target.

The case is expected to be filed with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office later this week.
