Orinda BevMo Robbed Saturday

Latest in a series of uncharacteristically violent thefts to shock Lamorinda was recorded Saturday as thieves struck at the Orinda Beverages and More store at 6 Camino Pablo in Orinda.

Members of this site’s Flash Alert network reported police activity at the store at around noon, with reports the thieves left the scene in a white Volvo after striking an employee with a bottle.

An ambulance summoned to the scene was subsequently dismissed and the exact nature of injuries to the employee was not immediately known.

Police have released no information on the theft or a description of the perpetrators.

    • Not really. You have to remember that police are not disclosing details of many local crimes and most local business owners are unwilling to disclose crimes against them…

  1. Anyone wondering WHY the increases in crime? Perhaps a DA who said she wouldn’t prosecute looters who have “economic need?!”
    Voters need to wake up: our public policies & elected officials’ ACTIONS protect criminals instead of law abiding citizens. Are we going to continue down this self-destructive road, or are we going to wake up & look objectively at the consequences of soft on crime policies & judges?!!!

  2. This wasn’t looting it was a robbery. Maybe there is an increase in crimes because criminals know they won’t get arrested? According to openjustice.org Orinda PD had a clearance of 23% on robberies in 2024. How can the DA prosecute if the police can’t make an arrest?
