    • I think you may need to dig a little deeper into the truth of those “seven peace agreements done this year” claim. Maybe check a neutral source for details. But even so, his using vile rhetoric to demonize half the country doesn’t make him a king of peace. Saying Democrats are Satan, Hamas Terrorists, Illegal Aliens, etc. does not unite us. We are now the Divided States of America, not the United States. If he is all of our President, why doesn’t he act like it? He can keep to his agenda without making Democrats feel like we are not worthy of representation. If that is your definition of what a king of peace would do, then we are seriously in deep trouble.

We live in the suburbs of a big city. Don’t you know any Democrats? My street is about 50/50 Dems and GOP. Where are my GOP neighbors–who gladly accept my help with their houses, shopping and yard work–when it comes to standing up for us and denouncing the hateful rhetoric? Crickets.

    • Please post links to those seven peace agreements which I would expect include his signature if he’s responsible for them. In fact, post a link to just three. Or did you just believe something you read on the internet and assume it was fact?

      • When did Trump called Dems Satan, terrorists, and Hamas? If a person is here illegally then they’re illegal aliens

        • October 3, 2025 in a Truth Social post. He said they were the party of Hate, Evil and Satan and that the Democratic Party is dead. (It looked pretty alive to me yesterday and filled with love for our country, if not for the president). You could easily look this up. Every news site covered his and Leavitt’s nasty comments about Democrats, unless you are in a bubble and only watch Fox and OANN.

I am unable to post the meme, but if you look for it, you’ll find it.

    • Yeas, Albania and Azerbaijan didn’t even know they were at war. That’s how good this guy is, solving wars that don’t exist.

  1. I’m sorry I should not have posted that on your national day of protest…. I know you protesters are all worked up, and are usually the same protesters if the other events. You are frustrated, and venting. Many of you learned this in college back in the 1960s. And I need to let you stomp your feet and scream because you’re not getting your way… you will have to do better at convincing a sizeable part of the population who support this King. Yes even in the Bay Area it’s almost 30% – one and three people- we’re used to being shouted down or silenced or insulted rather than being engaged with real reasoning and logic from the liberal left side. Possibly there isn’t any available!

        • The differences are clear to anyone who cares to look. Although MAGA loves jabbing Biden he is no longer president and a charlatan is. We’re attempting to deal with the problem at hand and that’s not Comey or Clinton or Bolton.

          • Biden was obviously not all there. So would you rather have a “President” who can’t find his way off a stage? Lol

    • You need to improve your troll game. People engaged with you here and you blithely ignored them. A patronizing tone to whip up rage-engagement is a bad look, too.

      • Agree with Matt. I saw one red hat in Walnut Creek yesterday but if you look at the Internet it was loaded with MAGAT trolls and the same lies we’ve heard so often from Der Leader. Those Russian bot farms must have been working overtime yesterday. “The protestors are all old,” “Paid” “Antifa” “America Haters.” Hard to believe some people still fall for it.

    • Seriously you need a wake up call. Watch another news station for the truth. Do you support the Jan 6th insurrection instigated by Trump? Not to mention he is a convicted felon! Great role model isn’t he??

    • You kind of sound a little scared of the old protestors because they are making their point with these peaceful protests. There were people of all ages there, including many older Veterans, and others who were using a walker to get around. That was something to be impressed by, not something to mock, but I guess that’s the maga way.

It was heartening to see how many different protests there were throughout the country–even where Dems might make up only 30% of the population. So many people who drove by honked and were supportive. Only saw one guy wasting his gas driving round and round with a big Trump flag. You wouldn’t happen to have a Hummer would you?

    • Greg..does it not give you pause that 8 Million people felt differently enough to spend their Saturday at the No Kings day protest?

  2. I’m old school. I miss the days where people respected the office of the Presidency regardless of who is in office. Some of us still do. Regardless of party or whether you like/dislike the president, the office should be respected. For the record, I didn’t vote for Trump or Harris.

    • Yes, those were the days but I think it started with the GOP attacking Clinton in the 1990’s. It’s been downhill since.

Is it fair to say I will respect the president when he respects me and my beliefs? The things he and his minions say on his behalf are astounding coming from a president. I appreciate what you are saying but it doesn’t seem like you are paying attention to what’s going on.

      • I am paying attention to what’s going on. I’m in my 60s and can honestly say I’ve never missed an election. What others are struggling with is political anxiety at best and political addiction at worst. I can’t relate, but I wish those who are struggling well.

        • I’m of the same generation as you. For me, it’s not about politics, it’s about policy.

Politics is a game that values posturing and wins. Policies are laws and programs that directly affect people’s lives.

Each side has what they think are the best policies but there’s no longer any incentive for the parties to negotiate. The fear of being accused of being disloyal has real consequences these days.

I think people are experiencing policy anxiety not political anxiety. They are concerned about the things that affect their everyday lives.

      • I remember the Contract with America but not any attacks on Clinton. Maybe you are referring to the impeachment? He did lie under oath about Monica L. So he was impeached for lying under oath, thats not an attack.

        • Well just because you don’t remember them doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Ken Starr investigated Clinton for seven years. Whitewater, Vince Foster’s suicide …

It’s almost quaint that his lying about his dalliance with Lewinsky caused him to get impeached. Especially considering all the multiple felonies and civil lawsuits that trump has dealt with.

          • Hey Goofball you don’t remember that it was Clinton lying to Ken Starr under oath that got him impeached.

    • “Respecting the office” includes protesting and challenging those individuals who bring shame to that office.

      • Then why were there no Biden Protests??? The most Shameful in a very long time, next to him Carter’s Presidency was historically sucessful!!!

        • It’s sad that trump supporters can only respond by saying “what about Biden/Newsom”. If you felt strongly that their policies were against your beliefs, you were free to organize a protest to address that. Besides the Jan 6th insurrection, I didn’t see much resistance. But seven million people peacefully protesting on Saturday, definitely says something.

Have you noticed that after lauding the things Trump has done, when asked specific follow up questions about his behavior and antics none of his supporters respond? Except with the “what about”. Sad.

          • Precisely so. The fact that there weren’t massive national protests against the Biden presidency during his administration strongly suggests that public opinion was more favorable than his opponents insisted. And the January 6 insurrection undermines any argument that the Biden opponents are more law abiding that those who protest this current regime.

          • Who said I support Trump, You did. I support the Constition and it’s been ignored by both parties for years. We need to get rid of all the career politicians, they do not serve us well. The misuse of Other Peoples Money in this country is disgraceful. Remember this, it’s not who’s right or who’s wrong but it is What’s right and what’s wrong. Something you seem to have forgotten.

  3. Trump is not doing this alone. His cronies are at work and using the unwavering allegiencce of his base to undermine established institutions and laws. I oppose this. So we went to march and protest these changes to our most basic of rules and laws and their continued assault on our Constitution. I marched to protest this and apparently there are a lot of others who feel the same way.

  4. It was a very pleasant day. I was surprised by the reaction of the right to the turnout after they tried to shame us for being too old and unemployed and too stupid to know what we were doing. We know what we were doing – and there were plenty of young people on hand and most of us are gainfully employed and we didn’t crash grindr like the right does whenever they get together. We are in a critical time in our history as a country and people who care about the future need to pick a side and I’m with the people who were out marching against this administration.

  5. @van Heiser:

I don’t need to pick a side. I don’t want to pick a side. Especially when each side is dominated by delusional extremists who have no concept of the actual beliefs of the other side. Each side sees a completely different subset of the news, as if curated for the purpose of dividing us. Not to put a fine point on it, people who want us to pick a side have been brainwashed. It’s like Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

I have friends on the left and the right. On any specific issue their opinions and mine are fairly close. They in no way resemble the caricatures you see on Fox News or MSNBC. Take immigration. Normal people don’t want to deport tens of millions of productive migrants. Nor do they want to indiscriminately welcome millions more who show up for free stuff.  They want rational rules actually enforced, like almost every developed country.

We don’t want government to pretend that the policy is one way then prove by their actions that it’s the opposite. Yet that level of dishonesty is all our democracy has given us for decades. On immigration. On taxes. On spending. On everything.

Listen to the words of Revolution by the Beatles. Take them seriously. Fighting and destruction virtually always end badly for everyone except the few leaders who end up on top and not killed by the other leaders. Keep your civil war fantasies to yourselves.

Let’s agitate for honest government. It starts with Congress taking back the power the founders intended it to have. No more abdication to executive agencies or courts so that unelected bodies can be blamed for policies Congress wants but the public doesn’t support. Congress needs to stop its blame avoidance and pass laws honestly stating the policies it intends.

That change to honest government is even more important than the substance of the policies. A hard left or a hard right Congress that takes back its power will be better for the country than a Congress of worms like we have now.
