Video of a rapidly escalating traffic stop in Concord the evening of April 3 captures the moment a fleeing suspect reaches for a concealed weapon and officers open fire on him.
Images from the officer’s body cameras detail how events unfolded shortly after 10 p.m. that evening, when officers Michael Kinnison and Michael Schneider attempted to stop and eventually opened fire on Eric Darrall Foreman of Richmond as the 37-year-old draws a gun and aims it at the officers.
Amazingly, despite the proximity of the gunfire and number of shots fired, no one was reported hit. Foreman was ultimately discovered hiding a short distance away by a police drone, tried to run and was ultimately brought down by a police canine. He was charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, possession of a handgun and ammunition by a convicted felon, hit-and-run, and obstructing an investigation.
A series of photographs captured by News24/680 photographer Sean McDonough the night of the incident includes a photo of Foreman breaking from cover and running from police, a pistol with a grip covered in distinctive blue tape seen on his hip. A closeup evidence photo of the gun is seen at the end of the police video.
That weapon was found with a live round in the barrel, its primer dented by the weapon’s firing pin.

That dude was lucky, running all OMaha Beach through nine initial shots and at least two hitting near him. Who was the guy standing next to the perp when you hints went all OK Corral?
Whole lot a lead flying around!
Terrible shots! All those involved need some practice at the range.
Ankle holster??
