A trio of thieves wielding pepper spray and a sledgehammer blitzed the Divine Consign shop, 1014 Oak Hill Road, on Saturday – smashing cases and making off with an estimated $20,000 in jewelry.
The robbery was reported at 1:39 p.m. Employees and customers were dosed with pepper spray during the crime.
Witnesses described the robbery crew as three black males in masks and hoodies, last seen driving west on Highway 24 in a black, late-model Honda sedan.
Obviously the same MO as the Orinda consignment store, using pepper spray. Really frustrating that this continues.
My sentiments exactly
They have a system, go where the money (jewelry) is. Only one way to disrupt these desperados.

West on 24, great name for a Rap Band.
Just another rob and dash, nothing to see here.

People were violently assaulted
And your elected officials, DA, judges, etc. don’t care.

I was told by my source, some random guy, that the employees were all pepper sprayed. Is that true?
WE know they (the bad guys) entered with chemical agents but no one has told us if they were deployed… hope not. That stuff is nasty.
They were totally deployed. I was sprayed in the face three times. It was good 25 minutes before I could open my eyes. They were surgical in their attack. Took less than 2 minutes to subdue everyone and rob the place. They knew exactly what they were doing
Madeline,
Very sorry you had to experience this event, I know what the spray feels like, not pleasant.

First time eh? That stuff stings!
Tell your random guy to call news 24 680 when these things happen. They’re the only ones telling us about this stuff.
How many does that make now?
About five that we’ve reported on locally.
Same crew but changing up cars and members???
Some subtle changes to the lineup and transportation but we think you’re right for the most part…
I just saw an interview with the store owner on KTVU, and she described the assailants as small, young, and WHITE, which I knew contradicted your story. Maybe that’s not important to you.
Posted 3 days after this site posted their first alert. Not helpful. Also, the store owner is on camera challenging this gang to “come on?” I hope that doesn’t come back to haunt them.
Not helpful that they got the race of the criminals wrong, or not helpful nobody noticed (or cared) for 3 days?
Got my first alert on this crime within 10 minutes and wouldn’t have known about it if it wasn’t for them. Police put out a very brief statement several hours later. Race of perps was not mentioned there at all. 3 days later after reviews of cameras and witnesses is nothing but 20/20 hindsight.
